Upgrade Status: Successful! 🚀
We are thrilled to announce that the MANTRA Chain v7.0.0 upgrade is complete, and the network is officially producing blocks. This landmark upgrade marks the successful re-denomination from $OM to $MANTRA and the execution of the 1:4 non-dilutive token split.
Current Progress
While the chain is live, our team is currently focusing on the following to ensure the ecosystem returns to 100% functionality:
Ecosystem Integrations: Finalizing updates with exchange partners and third-party tools to reflect the new $MANTRA ticker and 18-decimal (aMANTRA) denomination.
Indexing & Tooling: Monitoring data indexers and internal scripts to ensure all hardcoded values are correctly updated for the new protocol parameters.
Note for Token Holders & Node Operators
Automatic Updates: Your token balances on-chain should automatically reflect the 1:4 split. Your proportional ownership and total value remain fully preserved.
Archive Nodes: If you are running an archive node, please remember that the migration for these nodes can take up to 45 minutes. Do not interrupt the process.

This proposal triggers the MANTRA Chain v7.0.0 software upgrade at Block 13,000,000 (target: ~3 March 2026).
The upgrade implements the previously approved governance proposal (Proposal #26) to re-denominate the native token from $OM (`uom`) to $MANTRA (`aMANTRA`) and execute a non-dilutive 1:4 token split — increasing the hard-capped max supply from 2.5B to 10B tokens while preserving all economic value.
‼️State Migration During Upgrade‼️
The MANTRA Chain v7.0.0 Upgrade will require an EXTENSIVE state migration. While most upgrades typically only halt a chain for 60-120 seconds, this upgrade on MANTRA Chain Mainnet is expected to take 10-15 MINUTES for Validators and Light Nodes to complete the upgrade and migration. Expect Archive nodes to take up to 30-45 minutes to complete.

This is NOT a typical upgrade. While most chain upgrades halt for only 60–120 seconds, the v7.0.0 state migration is considerably longer.

* Trading pairs using OM will need be paused ahead of the upgrade and reopened under the new $MANTRA ticker once the migration is complete.
* The redenomination occurs at the protocol level via the Bank module — no smart contract interaction is required.
* Balances will update automatically onchain after the upgrade completes.
* Please ensure your systems account for the denomination change from uom (6 decimals) to aMANTRA (18 decimals).
